Birthday Tulips

Aren't these tulips simply stunning?  My dashing husband sauntered into the kitchen yesterday with these blooms casually draped over his arm.  He picked ones that were still tightly budded so that they would last longer.  I'm so excited that today they are starting to open to reveal all their gorgeousness.  I'm so eager to snap more pics of these beauties over the next few days

There isn't a lot of colour yet but the warmer temperatures and longer days are getting me outside once again with my camera. Some of these pics look more like abstract art but I'm a fan of that sort of expression so I like them.
