I fiddled with shutter speed on this one and think I managed to get the thai eggplants to look less grainy. It helped that the camera was sitting on the counter so that my natural shakiness didn't hinder. If I keep experimenting, I may just learn.
I had more fun photographing these little vegetables than I did eating them. I was delighted when my youngest son strolled by, asked what on earth I was doing and then shone his new LED flashlight on the thai eggplants. Just like that they went from green and pretty to blue-purple and dramatic. What a lucky kawinkadink. I'm going to have to experiment some more with that little flashlight.
